Abylsen Italy is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team of consultants across Piemonte and Umbria. You will develop code for embedded systems, participate in architecture-driven design, and manage end-to-end software lifecycle including CI, testing, and secure deployment on devices.

You will apply C++11+ in embedded contexts, work with Linux user space, and leverage Git for version control. A DevOps mindset and scripting skills (bash, Python) are essential to automate builds and

As part of the development of our entity Abylsen Italy, specialized in Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant), Energy and IT, we are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.

What is the challenge?

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

• Develop the code following the standards defined with the architecture team and to work for the reduction of the technical debt
• Participate to the design and development of critical parts of the project, together with the architecture team
• Manage end-to-end the software lifecycle for embedded systems, including build and test automation, continuous integration, and secure deployment on devices
• Manage the Unit Test for the functionalities developed, trying to automate the execution of the tests when possible
• To be responsible for the deployment and for the relating tool chain for one's own projects
• Guarantee the compliance of the code developed with the company SDLC (Coding Standard, Unit Test, Versioning)

REQUIREMENTS:

• C++ (>= C++11), with at least 3 years experience in embedded applications
• Object oriented design and development
• Embedded Linux mainly in user space
• Git/GitHub for version control
• Good knowledge of DevOps practices for embedded systems: CI/CD, build and hardware test automation, firmware pipeline management, containerization, and secure deployment on embedded devices
• Scripting languages (bash, python preferred)
