Job summary

Telespazio – Leonardo Space Division in Rome seeks a Ground Segment AIV Manager to lead assembly, integration and verification activities for space mission ground systems. You will ensure deployed infrastructure, software and networks meet requirements and schedules.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage workload, and interface with System Engineering, Operations, Software, Infrastructure and security teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Aerospace, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in Ground Segment, Space Systems Integration, System Engineering or AIV activities.
• Proven experience leading integration and test campaigns for complex systems.
• Strong understanding of Ground Segment architectures and operations.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain Ground Segment AIV strategy, plans and procedures.
• Develop IV&V roadmaps aligned with project milestones.
• Coordinate assembly, integration and test activities across Ground Segment elements.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and verification evidence.
• Review and approve test procedures, test reports and verification documentation.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary AIV engineers and specialists.
• Manage workload allocation, priorities and resource planning.
• Interface with System Engineering, Operations, Software Development, Infrastructure and security teams.
• Coordinate integration activities involving Mission Control Systems, Ground Stations, Network Infrastructure, Data Processing Systems and Operational Environments.
• Support anomaly investigations and root cause analyses.
• Oversee preparation and execution of infrastructure deployment, End-to-End Tests and Ground Qualification.
• Support Operational Validation Tests and Customer Acceptance Tests.
