Job summary

Telespazio – Leonardo Space Division, based in Rome, seeks a Ground Segment AIV Manager to lead assembly, integration and verification activities for space missions within the System Deployment and Qualification Unit. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, suppliers and customers to deploy, test and validate ground segment systems against program requirements.

The role requires a Master's in aerospace/CS, 8+ years in ground segment or AIV, experience with Mission Control, IV&V, and ECSS

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace, computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Ground Segment, Space Systems Integration, System Engineering or AIV activities.
• Proven experience leading integration and test campaigns for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Ground Segment AIV strategy, plans and procedures.
• Develop Integration, Verification and Validation roadmaps aligned with project milestones.
• Coordinate Assembly, Integration and Test activities across multiple Ground Segment elements.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and verification evidence.
• Review and approve test procedures, test reports and verification documentation.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary AIV engineers and specialists.
• Manage workload allocation, priorities and resource planning.
• Interface with System Engineering, Operations, Software Development, Infrastructure and security teams.
• Coordinate integration activities involving Mission Control Systems, Ground Stations, Network Infrastructure, Data Processing Systems and Operational Environments.
• Support anomaly investigations and root cause analyses.
• Oversee preparation and execution of infrastructure deployment, End-to-End Tests and Ground Qualification.
• Support Operational Validation Tests and Customer Acceptance Tests.
