agap2 Italia is recruiting a Technical Safety Engineer to ensure the safe design and operation of industrial facilities. You will perform risk assessments, develop safety deliverables, and support multidisciplinary teams across project phases.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in safety engineering within Oil & Gas or industrial sectors and strong English communication skills for international projects.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Safety Engineer in Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC, or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of international safety standards and methodologies including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, Fire & Gas Systems, Fire Protection, and Risk Assessment.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with ability to prepare technical reports in international project teams.

Professional responsible for ensuring the safe design and operation of industrial facilities by performing technical safety studies, risk assessments, and compliance activities in accordance with international standards and project requirements.

• Perform technical safety engineering activities throughout all phases of industrial projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate safety requirements into plant design.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international safety standards, regulations, and client specifications.
• Support engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational teams on process and technical safety matters.
• Develop and review technical safety deliverables, including Hazard Identification (HAZID), HAZOP, SIL assessments, Fire & Gas detection philosophies, Fire Protection studies, and Escape, Evacuation & Rescue (EER) analyses.
• Prepare and review safety philosophies, risk assessments, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in safety workshops, design reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Support commissioning and operational activities through risk analysis, incident investigations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Safety Engineer in the Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of international safety standards and methodologies, including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, Fire & Gas Systems, Fire Protection, and Risk Assessment.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare technical reports and communicate effectively within international project teams.

The salary range for this position is €35,000–€45,000 gross per year.

The position is offered under the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for Commerce and Tertiary Services, as applied by our company.

Final compensation within the stated range will be determined based on the candidate's technical skills, relevant experience, and the outcome of the recruitment process, according to objective and non-discriminatory criteria.

For candidates with exceptional qualifications beyond the stated range, a salary review may be considered subject to internal approval.
