Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services in Italy seeks a proactive HR Generalist to support multi-site operations in Opera and other Italian sites. You will partner with managers and HR peers to deliver comprehensive HR services across the employee lifecycle.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, payroll data validation, employee relations, policy guidance, and data integrity in HRIS. The role supports acquisitions and integration activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of HR experience in international settings.
  • Experience across the employee lifecycle and HR disciplines.
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR policies, compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS (SuccessFactors) and MS Excel.

Location Multi-site responsibility supporting Fox (Opera, MI) and another Italian operation.

We are looking for a proactive, collaborative, and business-oriented HR Generalist to support our growing operations in Italy, including recently acquired businesses and future acquisitions.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing guidance and operational support across the entire employee lifecycle. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, HR Operations teams, and business leaders to deliver high-quality HR services while helping foster an engaging, compliant, and high-performing work environment.

This position offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across multiple areas of Human Resources in a dynamic, international, and fast-growing manufacturing organization.

What You Will Do

You will act as the primary HR contact for assigned employee populations, delivering support across a wide range of HR processes and initiatives.

Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, from recruitment through offboarding.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job requisition creation, candidate management, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, providing guidance on hiring practices and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring a positive employee experience and accurate HR documentation.
  • Manage employee changes, including promotions, salary adjustments, transfers, and organizational updates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems.
Employee and Manager Support
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters.
  • Provide guidance on company policies, employee relations issues, attendance management, and employment practices.
  • Support managers in handling people-related matters while ensuring compliance with labor legislation and company procedures.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
HR Operations and Payroll Support
  • Support monthly payroll activities by collecting and validating employee data.
  • Monitor attendance and absence information and provide support on related employee and manager inquiries.
  • Ensure the accuracy of employee, payroll, and organizational data within HR systems.
  • Support benefits administration and collaborate closely with Payroll and HR Operations teams.
HR Programs and Business Support
  • Support annual HR processes including salary reviews, performance management cycles, employee engagement initiatives, and recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with Finance on workforce planning and labor cost forecasting activities.
  • Participate in organizational initiatives, integration activities, and projects supporting acquisitions and business growth.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing HR processes and employee experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources within an international organization.
  • Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines across the employee lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an advantage.
  • Fluent English (B2-C1 level) with the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
