I’m currently partnering with a well-established renewable energy developer and IPP based in Milan that’s looking for a Head of Permitting to join their team.

This company has been active in the international market for 10 years, working across planning, development, construction, and operation of large-scale solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. With a 2.5GW+ pipeline and significant backing from major European banks, they’re well-positioned for long-term growth.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading permitting across a portfolio of utility-scale PV, wind & BESS projects in Italy

• Liaising with public authorities, consultants, and internal teams

• Managing permitting timelines, risks, and regulatory approvals

• Supporting project development strategy and team leadership

Ideal profile:

• Strong experience in permitting for renewable energy projects in Italy

• Deep understanding of national and local permitting processes

• Knowledge of solar, wind, or BESS technologies

• Fluency in Italian and solid English skills

• Leadership potential or experience
