PRISMA in Italy is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to advance electronic hardware architectures for automotive lighting. You will work on LED driver circuits, power management, and high‑reliability PCB design.

The role involves creating schematics, selecting automotive‑grade components, and performing simulations. You will collaborate with mechanical, optical and software teams to ensure robust, EMC‑compliant solutions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience in hardware design within automotive or industrial electronics.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics and LED driver circuits.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools (PSpice, LTSpice, Matlab).
• Proficiency in Altium Designer and PCB design principles.
• Understanding of EMC requirements and automotive comms (CAN/LIN).
• Analytical, structured problem-solving, and team skills.
• Italian and English communication abilities.

Mansioni

• Design and develop electronic hardware architectures for automotive lighting systems.
• Develop LED driver circuits, LED PCBAs, headlamp control modules, and power management solutions (SMPS, DC/DC converters, linear regulators).
• Create electrical schematics, select automotive-grade components, and prepare hardware documentation including eBOMs.
• Perform circuit simulation, worst‑case analysis, and tolerance analysis.
• Define PCB placement, routing, and stack‑up requirements and support PCB layout activities using Altium Designer.

• Support hardware testing, validation, debugging, and root‑cause analysis.

• Maintain hardware documentation according to automotive and internal standards.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware architectures for automotive lighting systems
• Develop LED driver circuits, LED PCBAs, headlamp control modules, and power management solutions (SMPS, DC/DC converters, linear regulators)
• Create electrical schematics, select automotive-grade components, and prepare hardware documentation including eBOMs
• Perform circuit simulation, worst‑case analysis, and tolerance analysis

Your profile
