Ermenegildo Zegna Group in Milan seeks a Group Senior Category Manager - IT to lead end-to-end IT procurement, partnering with IT leadership to drive value, governance, and risk management across the group. You will manage sourcing activities for IT categories, ensuring alignment with business priorities and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity and Privacy teams to ensure contractual compliance and adoption of procurement tools and guidelines.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience in procurement or vendor management Roles (IT categories preferred).
• Skilled in software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, hardware, telecom and IT services procurement.
• Strong understanding of IT contracts, licensing models, SLAs, renewals and supplier performance.

• Manage end-to-end sourcing processes for IT categories (RFP/RFQ, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting).

YOUR MISSION IN THIS ROLE

As a Group Senior Category Manager - IT, based in Milan, you will bring your unique strengths to the Group Indirect Procurement, helping to define and execute IT procurement strategies across the Group, ensuring alignment with business priorities, technology roadmaps, governance and compliance requirements. The role manages end-to-end sourcing activities for IT categories, delivering value, innovation, risk mitigation and supplier performance while acting as a trusted procurement partner for IT and business stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Group Category Management to drive meaningful results and shape the way we work and grow.

More Specifically, You Will

• Manage end-to-end sourcing processes for IT categories: RFP/RFQ, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting
• Support the development and execution of Group IT category strategies in coordination with IT leadership
• Negotiate software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, hardware, telecom and IT services agreements
• Identify savings, cost avoidance and value creation opportunities through demand challenge, benchmarking and supplier competition
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, renewals and issue resolution for key IT vendors
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, Privacy and IT teams to ensure contractual, compliance and risk requirements are addressed
• Ensure adoption of Group Procurement Guidelines, P2P processes and procurement tools such as SAP Ariba and Vendor Portal

Who You Are

• You bring 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or vendor management roles, preferably with solid exposure to IT categories within international and matrix organizations;
• You’re skilled in software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, hardware, telecom and/or IT professional services procurement;
• You have a strong understanding of IT contracts, licensing models, service levels, renewals and supplier performance management;
• You are structured, analytical and business-oriented, with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear commercial strategies;
• You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

What We Offer

• The position provides for a base salary between: 50.000 € - 60.000 € Remuneration is determined on objective criteria, regardless of gender. Within the base salary range, individual pay is determined by knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
