Job summary

Baxter is seeking a CAPEX Project Lead for our Sesto Fiorentino site near Florence, Italy. You will guide capital investment and engineering projects from concept through installation and qualification in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Working with the Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams, you will manage scope, schedule and budget while ensuring GMP, safety and quality compliance. English communication and site leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities or capital-project execution in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, cost, risk, supplier coordination and reporting.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS, technical documentation and equipment or utility qualification principles is advantageous.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving and communication skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define the site investment plan with Plant and Engineering Managers.
• Lead projects from definition through installation, testing, startup and closure.
• Monitor scope, timelines, costs, risks and actions for on-time delivery.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, utilities and plant systems.
• Plan activities with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS and Engineering to minimize disruption.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and partners to meet standards.
• Support qualification activities and IQ/OQ documentation with Quality and Validation.
• Prepare CAPEX documentation, cost estimates and progress updates.
• Maintain complete drawings, manuals, specs and project records.
• Contribute to EHS risk assessments during modifications and project execution.
