Job summary

Page Executive is seeking a Global Supply Chain Director for our Industrial Manufacturing operations in Bologna, Italy. The role defines and drives a global supply chain strategy across procurement, planning, logistics and distribution to support growth and profitability.

You will partner with Commercial, Operations and Finance leaders, oversee 15+ production sites, monitor KPIs, and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, service levels and working capital.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the global B2B supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives, growth plans and operational priorities.
• Lead the supply chain across 15+ production sites, acting as the reference point for local plant teams and aligning with global standards.
• Partner with Commercial and Business Leaders to anticipate market developments, customer needs and growth opportunities within the group.
• Support the Chief Operations Officer on strategic projects, including production line transfers, plant relocations, industrial reorganisations and cost-saving initiatives.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, inventory management, procurement, production scheduling and distribution.
• Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and optimise inventory levels.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate supply to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and establish metrics to evaluate supply chain performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience through customer service excellence and process improvements.
• Optimise trade working capital through effective supply chain and inventory management practices.
• Promote innovation and leverage technology solutions to enhance supply chain visibility, improve forecasting accuracy and streamline operations.
• Monitor industry trends, market developments and regulatory changes that may impact the supply chain, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product launches, market expansions and other strategic business initiatives.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a global supply chain strategy that ensures service excellence, operational efficiency, inventory optimisation and scalability across multiple regions and manufacturing sites. This executive will bring a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, covering procurement, planning, logistics and distribution. Acting as a strategic business partner, the Global SC Director will work closely with Commercial, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance and Executive Leadership teams to align supply chain capabilities with growth objectives, customer expectations and profitability targets. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the person in the role will have the main following responsibilities:

• Lead the Supply Chain agenda across a global manufacturing footprint of more than 15 production sites, acting as the functional reference point for local plant teams and ensuring consistency, operational excellence and alignment with global supply chain standards and business priorities.


• Partner with Commercial and Business Leaders to anticipate market developments, customer needs and growth opportunities within the group.


• Support the Chief Operations Officer on strategic projects, including production line transfers, plant relocations, industrial reorganisations and cost-saving initiatives.
