FAO, Rome HQ, is seeking a Project Management Expert within the Project Cycle Team to coordinate and oversee project implementation across offices. The role emphasizes budget adherence, risk management, and effective partner collaboration to achieve project results.

Reporting to the Budget Holder, you will ensure plans are current, data is collected for monitoring, and deliverables meet FAO rules and donor agreements. Six-month PSA.

Competenze

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in public or business administration, finance, economics, social sciences or related field.
• At least ten years of relevant experience in project and programme management. Consultants with a bachelor’s degree need two additional years of experience.
• Working knowledge of English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian.

Mansioni

• Lead day-to-day project implementation with supervision of personnel where possible.
• Prepare, monitor and update project plans including budgets and work plans.
• Ensure Logical Framework Matrix is up-to-date and data is collected for monitoring.
• Manage affiliate personnel, goods and services and oversee partners.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Identify and mitigate risks and escalate issues when necessary.
• Ensure timely reports, visibility and project closure preparations.
