Job summary

ABB is seeking a Global Product Manager for MV Secondary Switchgear (AIS & GIS) to own the portfolio across its lifecycle. You will define strategy, roadmap and initiatives, align with Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations, and drive sustainable growth with a focus on SF6-free transition.

You will lead lifecycle management, product launches, and regulatory and safety compliance while collaborating with regional teams and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in MV switchgear or related product management.
• Experience in global, cross-functional environments.
• Fluent English; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the global MV Secondary Switchgear AIS/GIS portfolio strategy, roadmap and lifecycle priorities.
• Develop and maintain the product business plan with objectives, value creation and KPIs.
• Translate market and customer needs into product/technology priorities and requirements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, utilities and internal stakeholders.
• Lead product lifecycle from introduction to phase-out; drive new developments and cost-improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on go-to-market, launches and training; coordinate market readiness across regions.
• Govern roadmap and risks; ensure regulatory, safety and sustainability commitments, including SF6-free initiatives.
