Job summary

ABB is seeking a Global Product Manager for MV Secondary Switchgears (AIS & GIS) to own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle across regions. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations to align priorities and ensure sustainable growth, including SF6-free initiatives.

Hybrid work with international travel is expected. Minimum 10 years in MV switchgear or related fields, and a strong track record in global product strategy and launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in MV switchgear, product management, or related field.
• Experience in global, cross-functional environments.
• Understanding of MV switchgear applications, standards, regulatory compliance, safety, sustainability, SF6-free portfolio transition.
• Proven track record in global product strategies, roadmaps and lifecycle management.
• Experience with go-to-market, product launches and cross-regional execution.
• Cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence in matrix environments.
• Fluent English; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own global product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle priorities for MV AIS/GIS.
• Develop and maintain product business plan with objectives, investments, KPIs.
• Translate market and customer needs into product priorities.
• Build relationships with customers, utilities, markets, and stakeholders.
• Lead lifecycle from introduction to phase-out; drive new developments and cost improvements.
• Define product requirements balancing value, feasibility, cost, and time-to-market.
• Collaborate on go-to-market, sales enablement, and training.
• Plan launches and phase-outs; ensure market readiness across regions.
• Provide product expertise for strategic opportunities and risks; govern roadmap.
