IMA Group in Italy is seeking a Mechanical Designer with around five years of experience to join the IMA BFB division. You will define machine layouts, design components and assemblies, and develop mechanical aspects of new functions in line with regulatory and customer specs.

You will ensure designs meet timelines and cost targets, update BOMs, assess manufacturing processes and contribute to safety assessments, while collaborating with production, quality, and R&D teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• ≈5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer.
• Experience in design offices, preferably in automation or packaging sectors.
• Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD software.
• Ability to manage technical project documentation.

Mansioni

• Define machine or plant layout.
• Design components and assemblies, updating existing designs.
• Develop mechanical aspects of new functions per specs.
• Ensure design complies with timelines and cost targets.
• Prepare BOM and support production launch.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, tolerances, and treatments.
• Contribute to safety requirements and risk assessments.
• Maintain technical project documentation and archiving.
• Assist in machine testing and trials.

• Support pre-sales, after-sales and marketing as needed.
