IMA Group, a world leader in automatic machines for processing and packaging, seeks a Mechanical Assembly Technician for the IMA Automation Division. The role covers assembly, installation, and testing of machines and production lines, with FAT/SAT collaboration and worldwide deployment.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering or mechatronics background, about 3 years in similar roles, and good English. Frequent travel (about 100 days/year) is expected to support international projects.

Competenze

• Technical education background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly roles within automatic machinery manufacturing companies.
• Good command of the English language.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (~100 days/year).
• Strong collaboration with Engineering and Project Management.

Mansioni

• Perform the assembly, installation, and testing of machines and complete production lines.
• Assemble and test mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems according to drawings and documentation.
• Carry out system validation tests during FAT in collaboration with the electrical assembly team and support FAT activities with customers.
• Install, commission, and start up systems at customer sites worldwide, performing SAT activities and validation tests per FAT procedures.
• Execute after-sales service activities, including repairs, maintenance, installation of additional units, spare parts replacement, and customer training.

For the IMA AUTOMATION Division, we are looking for a MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN.

IMA AUTOMATION designs and manufactures prototype machines and production lines for component assembly across various industries, including medical devices, automotive, and e-mobility.

JOB SUMMARY

• Perform the assembly, installation, and testing of machines and complete production lines.
• Assemble and test mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems according to technical drawings and documentation provided by the Engineering Department.
• Carry out system validation tests during the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) phase, in collaboration with the electrical assembly team, and support FAT activities in the presence of the customer.
• Install, commission, and start up systems at customer sites worldwide, performing SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities and validation tests in line with FAT procedures.
• Execute after-sales service activities, including repairs, maintenance, installation of additional machine units (GR), spare parts replacement, and customer training on system operation and maintenance.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Technical education background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly roles within automatic machinery manufacturing companies.
• Good command of the English language.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings.
• Availability for frequent national and international business travel of medium to long duration (approximately 100 days per year).
• Strong ability to collaborate with other technical departments, including Engineering and Project Management.
• Interest in innovation and continuous improvement within research projects and automation technologies.

The initial gross annual salary (RAL) will be €35,500, in accordance with the Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria), with the possibility of an increase based on the candidate’s experience and competencies, in line with objective and gender-neutral evaluation criteria.
