Job summary

World Food Programme in Rome, Italy is seeking a Staff Development Officer (P-3) to lead global learning initiatives for Programme Operations. The role collaborates with HR, trainers and regional teams to design and deliver learning programs that strengthen capability and performance.

The incumbent will develop strategic learning structures, manage a team of learning professionals, and ensure reports and dashboards reflect progress.

Qualifications

• University degree in learning and development, adult education, human resources, instructional design or related field.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience in learning and development within an international/humanitarian context.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and rollout of global learning initiatives for Programme Operations.
• Develop and maintain an annual learning plan aligned with organizational priorities.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on learning activities to improve impact and efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal experts, trainers, instructional designers and vendors to deliver high-quality training.
