Job summary

Emerson in Italy is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager based in Lugagnano Val d'Arda. You will lead a global team responsible for the design, development, and lifecycle management of isolation valve products, guiding engineering from concept through execution and sustaining activities.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience leading mechanical design teams in industrial manufacturing.
• Proven ability to work in global, cross-functional, matrix organizations.
• Experience with ANSYS/FEA and CFD simulations.
• Proficient in 3D CAD platforms (Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Strong root cause analysis and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of design engineers and technical leaders across the product lifecycle.
• Drive design, development, qualification, and continuous improvement of isolation valve products.
• Establish engineering standards, templates, and documentation aligning with standards.
• Oversee concept to detailed design, verification, validation, and industrialization.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams.
• Guide analyses, simulations, and design reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions using structured methods.
• Support audits, testing, and regulatory activities as required.
• Foster innovation and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Mentor talent, manage workload, and monitor milestones and KPIs.
