Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Category Manager – IT, Production & EOL Equipment to lead global sourcing strategies for IT and production equipment. You will own supplier selections, negotiations, and contracts across software, cloud, hardware, and services, collaborating with IT, Operations, and Finance to maximize value.

You will drive cost optimization through spend analytics, TCO, and market insights while embracing digitalization and AI-enabled tools to enhance sourcing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience, with IT procurement emphasis.
• Strong knowledge of IT sourcing models: software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, hardware, IT services.
• Experience managing global/multi-regional supplier portfolios and leading complex negotiations.
• Proficiency with procurement and digital tools (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, advanced Excel).
• CIPS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and execute global category strategies for IT, Production Equipment, and EOL Equipment.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier selection, RFx, negotiations, and contract management.
• Identify and deliver cost optimization opportunities through spend analysis and TCO approaches.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships with technology vendors and equipment providers.
• Partner with IT, Operations, Engineering, R&D, Finance, and regional teams to implement category strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance, market dynamics, and tech trends to manage risks and capture innovation.
• Drive continuous improvement and digitalization through data analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
