Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Global Head of IT to lead the corporate technology function and drive the AI transformation for a fast-growing, stand-alone business. You will own the global IT roadmap, oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the digital workplace while partnering with senior leaders to enable scalable, secure operations.

You will manage a global budget, build an autonomous IT organization, and collaborate across regions including Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific to deliver

Qualifications

• 12+ years in IT leadership with full functional ownership.
• Proven track record building and scaling enterprise IT organisations in complex international environments.
• Deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity and Microsoft 365.
• Hands-on leadership with SAP or other ERP platforms.
• Experience managing large IT budgets and vendor ecosystems.
• Business-partner mindset: translate business needs into IT value.
• High ownership, self-starting and accountable.
• Entrepreneurial mindset in fast-growing stand-alone businesses.
• Open mindset adapting to evolving tech including AI and LLMs.
• Experience in electric mobility or related cleantech industries.
• Experience leading IT carve-out or separation from a parent company.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year global IT roadmap aligned to ABB E-mobility’s growth targets.
• Build an autonomous IT function as ABB E-mobility becomes independent.
• Drive AI across ERP and core processes, defining execution pathways.
• Champion AI integration and governance for scalable business impact.
• Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure for a globally distributed workforce.
• Oversee the Global IT Service Desk with ITIL-aligned processes.
• Direct the strategy for digital workplace and identity management.
• Safeguard cybersecurity posture and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage the global IT budget with transparent cost models.
• Develop a high-performing IT organisation across Italy, the Netherlands, the US, Canada and China.
