Job summary

Dr. Schär AG is seeking an experienced Global Inbound Logistics Procurement professional to shape and execute our inbound sourcing strategy.

You will manage key supplier partnerships, negotiate rates, and drive cost optimization across regions, ensuring service levels meet our global needs. The role requires a degree in logistics or related field, strong knowledge of road/sea transport, and proven KPI-driven performance management in multi-country settings.

Qualifications

Requires a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics or related field.
Experience in international logistics and inbound transportation.
Knowledge of road and sea transport, market dynamics, pricing models and logistics contracts.
Proven supplier management, negotiation and KPI-driven performance.
Analytical mindset with cost control, budgeting and continuous improvement.
Comfort working in cross-functional, multi-country environments.
Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Support and implement global inbound logistics procurement strategy balancing cost and service.
Manage strategic partnerships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs against contracts and KPIs.
Define and monitor the global inbound logistics budget and forecast deviations.
Drive cost-efficiency, RFQs, rate negotiations and optimization of transport flows.
Monitor operational performance and logistics risks, implement improvements.
Foster digital integration and visibility with EDI, tracking solutions and end-to-end transparency.
