International luxury group | Global scope | preferred base Milan area
Our client is an international Luxury/Premium group whose brands have grown with considerable autonomy. The Group is now strengthening procurement across its businesses and is looking for a leader to design and deliver its global logistics category strategy.
Reporting to Group procurement leadership, you will own the category across international and domestic freight, warehousing, customs and last-mile delivery, and lead a regional team across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
You will set sourcing priorities and the supplier model, and decide where to leverage the Group’s combined purchasing power and where flexibility should remain.
The mandate runs from strategic choices to implementation. You will build the spend and market intelligence needed to decide, turn the strategy into a sourcing roadmap, and lead tenders, negotiations and contracting. You will also put in place the governance, tools and methods that allow small teams across regions to execute consistently and track results.
Your approach will rest on disciplined purchasing practice: spend analytics, cost modelling, total cost of ownership, structured sourcing …and supplier performance management. Backed by reliable data and clear accountability, these practices will drive continuous improvement in cost, service reliability, risk and environmental performance.
None of this works without the business. You will partner closely with brand leadership, logistics operations and regional procurement teams, make the case for common solutions, arbitrate competing priorities and secure adoption in an organisation where authority is shared.
We are looking for a procurement leader who has both built category strategies and delivered them, with results that stand up to scrutiny.
You will typically bring 8–10+ years of procurement experience, real depth in logistics , supply chain or transport, and a record of transformation in an international matrix organisation.
Luxury/Premium experience is welcome but not essential.
Leaders from automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers , Retail , FMCG , …and other demanding industrial environments are equally relevant, particularly where rigorous purchasing methods and continuous improvement are part of everyday management.
Fluent English is essential; other European languages are an advantage.
Recommendations of strong candidates are also welcome.
All conversations will be treated in confidence.
