World Food Programme seeks an experienced ethics professional to strengthen the Ethics Office at HQ in Rome. The role focuses on managing disclosure processes, advising on policy development, and promoting accountability across the organization.

You will lead ethics training, provide guidance to staff and management, and collaborate with UN partners to reinforce a culture of integrity. Fluency in English is essential, with language skills in another UN language advantageous.

Competenze

• Advanced university degree in law, ethics, public administration, international affairs, compliance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in legal advice, compliance, risk assessment, ethics or related areas.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a second UN language preferred (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or Portuguese).

Mansioni

• Provide input to define and implement the Ethics Office Strategy and Work Plan.
• Offer timely advice on ethics and standards of conduct and track inquiries.
• Oversee the annual disclosure programme review of conflicts of interest.
• Develop and deliver ethics training programs, modules, and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Draft and review policy documents, circulars, and regulations with ethical considerations.
• Support protection against retaliation processes and prepare memos for complainants.
• Enhance the Ethics Office presence on internal and external channels and publications.
• Prepare analyses and reporting to promote the Ethics Office's work.
• Foster cooperation across WFP and UN system partners to align ethics communications.
