The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking an experienced Ethics Officer to strengthen the organisation's ethical framework from our Rome-based offices. The role involves managing conflict of interest disclosures, advising on policy development, and supporting retaliation-protection processes, while fostering internal and external relationships across UN partners.

Fluency in English with a second UN language is preferred, and the incumbent will relocate to Rome, Italy, on a fixed-term contract

Competenze

  • Advanced degree required in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in legal advice, compliance, risk assessment, or ethics.

Mansioni

  • Provide input to Ethics Office strategy and work plan.
  • Advise on ethics standards and track inquiries.
  • Manage annual disclosure program and ensure smooth rollout.
  • Develop and deliver ethics training and e-learning modules.
  • Review policy documents for ethical considerations.
  • Support protection against retaliation processes and draft memos.
  • Enhance Ethics Office presence on internal/external channels.
  • Prepare reports on the Ethics Office activities.
  • Collaborate with UN and Rome-based agencies to align messages.
