FAO in Rome seeks an Ethics Policy Specialist to support the Ethics Office, focusing on policy development, reviews, and compliance guidance. The role involves collaboration with FAO units and field offices to implement ethical standards and protect staff from retaliation.

The incumbent will contribute to training, stakeholder engagement, and the creation of awareness materials. This is a time-bound consultancy up to 11 months, based in Italy with potential for diverse assignments.

Competenze

Advanced university degree in political science, law, public administration, or related areas (bachelor’s +2 years if no master).
Experience in ethics, compliance, UN administrative law, policy drafting or development.
Working knowledge of English (level C).

Mansioni

Support FAO-wide policies and procedures on Ethics aligned with organizational strategy.
Review and support standard setting and policy implementation across departments and field offices.
Offer guidance on conflicts of interest and retaliation issues.
Develop ethics training materials and outreach content.
Prepare project documents, reports, and presentations for staff and senior management.
Carry out other tasks to advance the Ethics Office mandate.
