GEA Germany GmbH is seeking a Director of Engineering & Project Management to steer Engineering (R&D and ETO) and Project Management for the Cheese Processing equipment portfolio. You will drive technical solutions from design to order fulfilment, including installation and commissioning, in a global, matrix environment.

The role leads five teams across Automation, Mechanical Engineering, NPD, Project Execution, and Process Technology, with a focus on cost control, customer satisfaction, and

Competenze

• Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in international matrix organizations and customer-facing environments.
• Fluent Italian and English language skills.

Mansioni

• Lead global Engineering and R&D activities for Cheese Processing equipment and lines.
• Ensure successful engineering execution of customer orders and after-sales upgrades.
• Drive Design-to-Cost initiatives to improve product cost competitiveness.
• Lead product improvement and new product development activities.
• Monitor KPIs such as engineering hours, project costs, and lead times.
• Oversee installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Collaborate with customers and regional teams on project delivery.
• Contribute to R&D investment priorities and business cases.
• Manage department cost centers and personnel costs.
