Job summary

Safilo Group seeks a Global Customs Compliance Manager to lead import/export and intra‑community trade processes, ensuring full regulatory compliance. You will serve as the primary contact for Customs Authorities and advise on trade compliance, reporting to the COO and functionally to the Global Tax Director.

You will drive policies, internal controls, and cross‑functional collaboration with Tax and Logistics to ensure VAT treatment and accurate documentation across all operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 6–7 years of customs compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes and VAT compliance.
• Proficiency in English; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring full compliance with customs regulations for all import/export operations.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborating with Tax and Logistics teams to ensure correct VAT treatment on imports, exports, and intra‑community transactions.
• Managing customs audits and maintaining comprehensive documentation for customs and VAT compliance.
• Providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders on customs and trade compliance matters.
