Job summary

Safilo Group is seeking a Global Customs Compliance Manager to oversee import/export and intra-community trade processes, ensuring full regulatory compliance. The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and collaborates with the Global Tax Director.

You will manage audits, document retention, VAT compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with Tax and Logistics, while driving improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 6–7 years of experience in customs compliance or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and VAT compliance.
• Proficiency in English; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations for all import/export operations, including recordkeeping.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor regulatory changes related to tariffs and VAT; communicate updates across departments.
• Collaborate with Tax and Logistics to ensure correct VAT treatment on imports/exports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.
