Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Global Study Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership for complex global clinical studies, from initiation to close-out, ensuring timelines, quality, budget and regulatory compliance.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and risks, oversee CROs, and translate asset strategy into study-level operational plans while representing Clinical Operations in governance forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.
• Extensive experience leading global clinical studies across multiple phases and regions.
• Proven accountability for end-to-end trial delivery and study-level planning.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP, global regulations and development processes.
• Experience overseeing CROs and external vendors and driving performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational strategy and end-to-end delivery of global clinical studies.
• Own study timelines, budget, quality, risks and deliverables.
• Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional study teams and drive decisions.
• Represent Clinical Operations within the Study Leadership Team and escalate issues.
• Translate development strategy into clear study-level operational plans.
• Identify and mitigate study risks and ensure robust feasibility and execution.
• Provide input into protocols, informed consent forms and study documents.
• Oversee CROs and vendors, including performance management and escalation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and inspection-readiness.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting and budget management.
• Communicate progress and decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Champion innovative approaches including decentralised trials and AI-enabled workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across Clinical Operations.
