Job summary

Amaris Consulting, based in Italy’s Lombardy region, is seeking a Back-End Developer to join an international, dynamic IT team. You design, develop and maintain scalable back-end applications using Java or .NET and integrate REST APIs with internal and external systems.

The role requires 2-5 years of experience, strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot or .NET Core, relational databases, Git, and collaboration in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional Back-End Development experience with Java or .NET.
• Strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot or .NET/.NET Core.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and web services.
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git and software development best practices.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture is a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Academic background: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Fluent Catalan and/or Portuguese and good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable back-end applications using Java or .NET technologies.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrate back-end services with internal and external systems.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following best practices and established development standards.
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modelling and query optimization where required.
• Collaborate with Front-End Developers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and continuous improvement of existing applications and development processes.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and secure software architectures.
• Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Meetings and Retrospectives.
