Latham & Watkins LLP in Milan is seeking a Compliance Lawyer to support the Office of General Counsel's global compliance programs, focusing on financial crime, AML, and sanctions. The role may be based in Milan, London, Manchester or Madrid with a hybrid/in-office schedule.

Applicants should have a law degree and be qualified in England & Wales or another jurisdiction where the firm operates, with 3–4 years in financial crime compliance.

Competenze

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Qualified as a lawyer admitted or otherwise professionally qualified in England & Wales or another jurisdiction in which the firm has an office.
• For candidates based in Italy, appointment must comply with applicable Italian professional rules.
• Minimum 3–4 years’ post-qualified experience in financial crime compliance, preferably in a large international law firm.
• Experience managing global compliance projects in a large international law firm.

Mansioni

• Monitoring compliance developments across jurisdictions and updating global/local programs (e.g., EU AML package).
• Preparing and submitting compliance reports to regulators (e.g., OFSI).
• Supporting AML strategic plan and related projects for the OGC compliance team.
• Assisting with ad hoc compliance programs (e.g., DAC6, criminal corporate offences).
• Preparing responses to inquiries and developing standard responses/templates.
• Reviewing and advising on contract terms related to compliance; providing legal analyses.
