Bain & Company in Italy is seeking an AI Engineering Intern to design and develop GenAI applications and agentic solutions for client deployments. You will work with engineers, data scientists, and consultants, gaining hands-on exposure across the full AI development lifecycle—from prototyping to production deployment.

This learning-first role requires a minimum of three days per week working in person at Bain's offices or client sites in Italy, with mentorship and increasing responsibility over

Competenze

• Strong foundation in Python and building APIs or services.
• Experience delivering multi-stack GenAI programs from concept to production.
• Fluency in English and Italian; client-facing communication skills.

Mansioni

• Design and develop GenAI applications (copilots, workflows) using modern LLM stacks.
• Assist in building AI pipelines: RAG, fine-tuning, embeddings, hybrid retrieval.
• Contribute to tool use, orchestration, and agent capabilities across AI workflows.
• Support model experimentation, evaluation design, and production deployment tasks with seniors.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to APIs and services across the SDLC.
• Contribute to evaluation and observability for GenAI systems and guardrails.
