Sécheron Hasler Italia is seeking an Functional Test Engineer to join the Integration Verification & Testing Department. You will work with the IVT Manager and Product Integrity Manager to write test cases and perform functional testing on electronic railway devices.

Responsibilities include developing test strategies, specifications, and scripts, coordinating test benches, and producing detailed test documentation and reports. English communication is required, with travel as needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electronics, telecommunications or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the industrial sector.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English (preferred B1).
• Experience in software design and/or testing of electronic equipment, preferably in railway/automation sectors.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW, Python and MS Visual Studio is required.

Mansioni

• Analyze system and software functional requirements.
• Develop test strategies for distributed systems, devices and electronic boards.
• Define test specifications and use automated tools where possible.
• Develop scripts for automated test execution.
• Define test benches and coordinate hardware/software resources.
• Create test documentation (plans, procedures, reports).
• Execute tests and draft reports using integrated management systems (Polarion).
• Track test cases against requirements and report bugs (Redmine/Bugzilla).
• Report on test progress and quality metrics.
