Job summary

TGR Haas F1 Team, based in Maranello, Italy, is seeking an Aerodynamics Software professional to support day‑to‑day operations and contribute to department objectives. You’ll work with colleagues to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance, reporting to the Aerodynamics Software Team Leader.

The role emphasises system design, OOP (C#/.NET), web apps, and modern software practices. Extensive travel and weekend race support may be required.

Qualifications

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Further education including Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related University Degree desired.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a professional environment (preferably Formula 1).
• Have an excellent understanding of English language.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to car performance by developing bespoke software for all aspects of aerodynamics department function.
• Interact with aerodynamics department personnel to understand requirements.
• Outline steps and timelines.
• Design and develop tools across the full stack.
• Optimize code for performance, reliability, maintainability and observability.
• Evaluate performance against objectives.
• Adhere to and promote modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews.
• Independently solve unseen problems and communicate results.
• Develop workflow automation tools.
• Improve unit test coverage for services and resolve problem areas.
• Carry out day‑to‑day tasks efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Ensure work meets expected service, quality, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all activities.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings, briefings, and forums as required.
• Respond to queries within scope, escalating more complex matters when necessary.
• Adhere to relevant legislation, organisational policies, and internal controls.
• Handle information responsibly, including confidential or sensitive data.
• Support audit, governance, and risk management activities as required.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to improve processes and ways of working.
• Participate in team initiatives, projects, or improvement activities.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the level and purpose of the role, as assigned by the line manager.
