Job summary

WalksDevour is seeking a Freelance Ground Operations Coordinator in Venice city center to manage daily tour departures, support freelance guides, and assist guests at meeting points.

This hands-on role is on‑site, fast-paced, and requires excellent organization, proactive problem solving, and fluent English and Italian.

You must have an active Partita IVA and be legally authorized to work in Italy, with availability for about 25 hours per week including weekends.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Italian is required.
• Experience in tourism, tour operations, hospitality, or similar customer-facing roles preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Tour coordination: manage daily tour departures, collect and distribute tickets and materials, ensure guides have what they need before tours.
• Guest check-in: welcome guests at meeting points, verify booking information, provide clear pre-departure instructions.
• Guide support: coordinate with local freelance guides, share operational updates, assist with day-to-day challenges.
• On-the-ground problem-solving: resolve unexpected issues, manage delays, escalate to Ground Operations Manager when needed.
• Operational quality: monitor departures, identify recurring issues, provide feedback to improve guest experience.
• Partner coordination: liaise with local partners and suppliers to ensure smooth tours.
• Compliance: ensure procedures and standards are followed and report recurring issues.
