Tropico Security is seeking its first Founders' Associate to keep the machine running as the founders build the business. You will own core operations, from tax credits and timesheet compliance to data room management and finance ops, while laying the groundwork for scalable systems.

You are a self-starter with 12+ months in strategy consulting or a startup ops role, fluent in English and Italian, execution-focused, and ready to grow into a Chief of Staff.

Founders' Associate

We're looking for our first Founders' Associate, the person who keeps the whole machine running while the rest of us build minefields for attackers.

As TROPICO Security keeps on growing, the founders are drowning in the stuff that makes a company actually work: the ops, the numbers, the data rooms, the thousand things that never make the pitch deck but break everything if they slip. We need someone to own that, and then grow into far more.

Mr. Coco, our Chief Deception Officer, mostly cares about traps. This role is about everything else that keeps the traps shipping.

The Role:

• First dedicated ops hire, working side by side with the founders
• Start at the operational core: R&D tax-credit and timesheet compliance, data room, CRM hygiene, finance ops (invoicing, AP/AR, expenses), vendor and board logistics
• Own people ops as we scale the team: onboarding, HR tooling, external counsel
• Grow into a Chief of Staff mandate: cross-functional projects (think new-market expansion), board and investor reporting, OKRs, fundraise prep
• A role with a ceiling defined by what you can deliver, not by your years of experience

You are:

• 12+ months in strategy consulting (MBB or strong boutiques) and/or an early-stage startup in ops/BizOps
• Relentless on execution: no task too small, no detail missed, no dropped ball
• A builder, not a follower. You can take an ambiguous mess and turn it into a system, without waiting to be told how
• Italian mother tongue (legal and tax context), fluent English (investors and international)
• Genuinely ambitious. You want to grow into leadership, and you're happy to start from the plumbing to get there
