Diadora, a legendary sport brand based in Montebelluna, Italy, seeks a Footwear Engineer to bridge Design, Product Development and Production. You will work in Operations to turn concepts into scalable, high-performance shoes that meet cost and quality targets, from prototype to production launch.

You will validate technical packs, coordinate with Far East suppliers, apply value engineering, ensure sample quality, and support development for professional athletes and customization projects,

Competenze

• At least 5 years of experience in footwear/related role, preferably in running/outdoor sneakers.
• Deep knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes and pattern-making techniques.
• Ability to evaluate technical materials and interpret laboratory test results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and familiarity with PLM systems.
• Native Italian speaker with intermediate/advanced English for daily interaction with international partners.
• Willingness to travel: about 7–8 business trips per year, ~15 days each, to East Asia.

Mansioni

• Verifying and fine-tuning prototypes, analyzing last, construction, functionality and aesthetics.
• Coordinating with Far East team and suppliers on industrialization matters.
• Validating tech packs/spec sheets for production.
• Applying Value Engineering to optimize material consumption and control costs.
• Analyzing project risks and proposing alternative technical solutions.
• Verifying sample compliance with company quality standards.
• Monitoring standards on finished products and supporting QC through production line visits.
• Providing technical support for products for professional athletes and customization projects.
• Collaborating on research of new materials and technologies and validating requirements via lab and field tests.
