Footwear Engineer: From Concept to Production

Diadora is seeking an experienced Footwear Engineer to act as the technical bridge between Design, Product Development, and Production. Based in Montebelluna, you will ensure the technical integrity of each model from prototype to production launch while collaborating with the Far East and suppliers.

You will drive engineering for costing, quality assurance, and field support, with travel to partner sites in Asia. Fluency in Italian and English is essential for daily international interaction.

Competenze

• At least 5 years of experience in footwear engineering or a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes and pattern-making techniques.
• Ability to evaluate technical materials and interpret lab test results.
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with PLM systems.
• Native Italian with proficient English for international collaboration.
• Willingness to travel ~7-8 trips per year to Far East (China and Vietnam).

• Technical Development & Industrialization: verify and refine prototypes, analyze last, construction, functionality, aesthetics.
• Engineering for Costing & Quality: apply value engineering, optimize material use, manage construction costs.
• Quality Assurance & Field Support: verify samples meet quality standards, visit production lines, support QC.
