Human Technopole in Milan is seeking a proactive FM Building Management System (BMS) Specialist to support design, deployment and operation of campus-wide BMS technologies.

You will work on IoT platforms, data analysis and energy efficiency improvements, reporting to the FM Hard & Soft Services Manager. Fluent Italian and a technical diploma are required; English is a plus. The role is based on site in Milan with a permanent contract.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in BMS systems.

• Knowledge of energy management and maintenance planning.

Within this mission, and to further strengthen the Campus Development & Facility Management team, HT is seeking to recruit a motivated and proactive FM Building Management System (BMS) Specialist.

Your mission

As a FM Building Management System (BMS) Specialist, you will support the management, maintenance, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS) across the campus. In this role you will be working on the design, implementation, and daily operational maintenance of BMS technologies, contributing to efficiency, security, and compliance with industry regulations. You will report directly to the FM Hard & Soft Services Manager.

Human Technopole, located in Milan MIND Area and counts more than 20.000 sqm of complex building infrastructures, highly technological laboratories and services. The next stage of development will double the current size and will open multiple services to other national institutions.

You will enhance your professional skills by:

• Assisting in the management and updates of BMS systems with external specialists.
• Supporting maintenance planning, cost tracking, and technical documentation for BMS systems.
• Contributing to the development of a multi-year BMS integration plan,
• Assisting in defining BMS policies, SOPs, and system specifications.
• Supporting BIM integration in Facility Management, including updating system records and schematics.
• Collaborating with the ICT team to align framework configurations and security protocols.
• Working on BMS technologies, IoT platforms, and data analysis, following established guidelines.
• Participating in software logic verification and updates, under the supervision of internal specialists.
• Working with maintenance technicians, assisting in daily training and BMS-related tasks.
• Interacting with contractors and vendors to support BMS projects.
• Logging and following up on fault reports in the Helpdesk system.
• Contributing to BMS data analysis and energy efficiency improvements.
• Assisting in identifying and troubleshooting building system issues.
• Supporting configuration and optimization of BMS technologies.

What you'll bring

Essential

• Technical diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in BMS systems.
• Familiarity with Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
• Fluent in Italian (written and spoken).

Preferred

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field).
• Knowledge of ICT frameworks and security standards management.
• Experience with BIM in Facility Management.
• Knowledge of SIEMENS, Schneider, Trend, or ISMA BMS systems.
• Previous experience in research/hospital/university environments.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders, including BMS vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively within team environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a solid understanding of operational workflows.
• Skilled at working efficiently within technical teams.

Salary: up to € 50k depending on the candidate’ seniority.
The position is based in Milan, Italy, within our vibrant international campus.
