Job summary

Scalapay seeks a 6 months Legal Counsel Intern in Milan, joining the Legal Department to support regulatory matters and complaint handling. You will work three days per week at the Milan office under the smartworking policy.

You should hold an Italian Law Degree, be fluent in Italian and English, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Additional language skills are a plus; proficiency with MS Office or Google Suite is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Italian Law Degree (or equivalent).
• Fluent in Italian and English (C1-C2).
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Complaint Handling Function in reviewing and preparing responses to customer complaints, including proceedings before ABF, under supervision.
• Support the Legal Team on payment services, consumer protection, contract law, and related legislation; include drafting and reviewing agreements, memos, and legal research.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams by collecting information, supporting legal reviews, and helping implement internal guidelines and best practices.
