  • Provide legal support to the Company and the Group on regulatory matters, with a particular focus on payment services, consumer credit, consumer protection, contract law and other legislation relevant to the business.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, escalating complex or material matters to senior members of the Legal Team.
  • Prepare internal legal memoranda, opinions and practical recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Conduct independent legal research on legislation, regulatory guidance, case law and legal scholarship, translating findings into actionable advice.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and support the implementation of any required changes to internal processes, documentation and commercial practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify legal risks, provide practical guidance and ensure the consistent implementation of legal requirements and best practices.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal templates, policies, procedures and legal knowledge resources.
YOU MUST :
  • Have an Italian Law Degree (or equivalent)
  • Be fluent both in Italian and English (C1-C2)
  • You have high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
YOU'LL BE GREAT FOR THE ROLE IF :
  • You have some previous experience in a structured Law Firm or a Company (specialization payment services and consumer credit is a plus)
  • You are admitted to the Italian Bar
  • You speak any additional language such as French or Spanish (B2+ level)
  • You are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or the Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
  • You are familiar with AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini)
OUR COMPENSATION PACKAGE :
  • Annual compensation range based on experience: 30000-40000 euros
OUR SELECTION PROCESS
  • Initial Chat: A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Interview with the Role Coordinator: A deep dive into your motivation and learning goals for the role.
  • Case Study: A skills-based test with a debriefing session involving key stakeholders, conducted in our Milan office or online.
  • Final Chat with Simone (CEO): An opportunity to discuss Scalapay’s values and assess cultural alignment.

Super Pro tip: we know that application processes can be scary and frustrating but… we look for talent, not people that tick all our boxes.

Please note that only candidates with a legal working status in Italy will be considered as we do not provide any sponsorship. Are you currently legally able to work in Italy?
