Leica Microsystems is seeking a Finance Manager, Shared Service Accounting (d/f/m) on-site in Buccinasco, Milan, Italy, to oversee the accounting framework for Italy, Spain and Portugal and to lead the local accounting team. You will ensure Italian GAAP compliance, manage postings, VAT, and close cycles, reconcile to US GAAP, and act as a business partner to local leaders by delivering timely reports and insights. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Mansioni

Finance Manager, Shared Service Accounting (d/f/m)

Location: On-site, Buccinasco, Milan, Italy

This role supports Leica Microsystems' accounting and reporting framework for its European entities in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, overseeing all financial activities and leading a local accounting team.

In This Role

• Ensure compliance of ledgers in Italy, Spain, and Portugal with DHR, Leica finance policies, and local regulations, and complete required filings on time.
• Manage and coordinate operational accounting processes, including posting transactions, releasing payments, VAT, and leading the local accounting team.
• Lead the close process for the Italian ledger: review trial balances, cost‑center expenses, approve journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare quarterly disclosure questionnaires.
• Ensure adherence to SOX and other finance controls and prepare local GAAP financial statements while reconciling to US‑GAAP reporting.
• Act as a business partner to local business leaders, providing meaningful reports and analysis across business areas.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of finance experience with a strong focus on tax/finance, including Italian GAAP and compulsory Italian tax knowledge; US GAAP preferred.
• Progressive accounting/controllership experience in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and improve processes with strong analytical skills.
• Team player, process oriented, hands‑on.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; German speaking a plus.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 10% travel for onsite work.

Salary & Benefits

• Gross annual salary €56 000–€65 000, per CCNL Commercio Quadro classification.
• Target bonus of 10% of base salary, subject to eligibility and performance.
