VF Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its EMEA Finance team based in Milan. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and promote improvements in accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, a minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, and fluency in Italian and English. The position offers a hybrid working model and benefits including employee discounts and welfare benefits.

VF Corporation is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our EMEA Finance team based in Milan.

Role Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Local Finance Manager and work closely with both the Central Finance team and our Shared Service Center. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and supporting the continuous improvement of accounting processes in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review monthly financial reporting and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities
• Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with auditors and external consultants
• Manage VAT returns (monthly and annual) and ensure compliance with local regulations
• Prepare Intrastat declarations and support tax calculations
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and monitor tax deadlines
• Support internal and external audits
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
• Collaborate with Shared Services on transactional accounting activities
• Contribute to process improvements and strengthening internal controls

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of Italian and US GAAP and local tax regulations (VAT, Intrastat, withholding taxes)
• Solid experience in financial reporting and audit processes, good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Hiring Range

€40,656.00 - €50,820.00 per annum
