Redion Employee Benefits seeks a Finance & Accounting Specialist in Assago, Italy. You will support financial reporting, GL maintenance and treasury activities within a multinational team.

The role requires SAP S/4HANA expertise, strong reconciliations, and English fluency. Annual gross base salary ranges from EUR 40,000 to EUR 45,000, with ANIA collective contract. Open to all qualified candidates.

We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Team in Assago, Italy. Application must be submitted in English

As Finance & Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation and delivery of our financial reporting duties. You will closely collaborate with a large number of stakeholders across the organization to perform the following tasks (non-exhaustive list):

• Support the integration of newly acquired entities through accounting, treasury and financial reporting activities, including dividend distributions, intercompany reconciliations, accounting of payments and receivables, and liquidity monitoring across the Redion EB Luxembourg company, its subsidiaries and branches;
• In relation to Assicurazioni Generali Luxembourg Branch, manage and review technical insurance accounting for reinsurance and insurance business, ensuring accurate booking, validation, reconciliation and control of accounting flows;
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including general ledger maintenance, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, and timely investigation of open items;
• Execute accounting entries and controls in SAP S/4HANA and SAP FI/CO, with clear ownership of accuracy, documentation and audit trail;
• Operate and reconcile insurance-related transactional processes in SAP FS-CD and SICS, including validation of interfaces, technical accounting flows and exception management;
• Support treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, payment scheduling, bank reconciliations and treasury-related postings in SAP Treasury;
• Process and control supplier, customer and intercompany accounting matters, including invoices, payments, collections, recharges and follow‑up on aged balances;
• Support the preparation of Redion EB Luxembourg company statutory financial statements, VAT returns and related regulatory reporting requirements;
• Investigate and resolve accounting, banking, technical flow and system issues proactively, working with internal teams, SAP support, network partners and other stakeholders as needed;
• Support external audit, internal audit, data quality reviews and control testing by preparing accurate reconciliations, explanations and supporting documentation;
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives, identifying root causes, proposing practical solutions and helping standardise efficient ways of working;
• Prepare accounting analyses, reporting inputs and ad‑hoc finance information requested by management, Group, auditors or internal departments;
• Act as a reliable senior team member within Accounting & Treasury, supporting priorities, deadlines and knowledge sharing across the team

What we are looking for

• practical experience with SAP (mandatory!), ideally including exposure to S/4HANA, SAP FS-CD, SICS, SAP TR and SAP FI/CO;
• strong understanding of accounting operations, technical accounting flows, reconciliations, month‑end/quarter‑end closing and financial controls;
• ability to analyse complex accounting and system issues, identify root causes, and drive practical solutions with a problem‑solving mindset;
• very good command of Excel and Microsoft Office applications; ability to work with large data sets and prepare clear reconciliations and analyses;
• audit‑ready mindset with strong attention to detail, ownership of documentation and ability to explain accounting treatments clearly;
• quick learner, proactive, enthusiastic and comfortable working in a dynamic international environment within a team established in several countries;
• fluent in English and any other language would be considered an asset

Ideal background would be

• min 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience;
• strong hands‑on exposure to technical insurance accounting for direct business;
• good knowledge of insurance and/or reinsurance business processes; Employee Benefits experience would be a strong advantage;
• university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; a professional accounting qualification would be an advantage;
• knowledge of Italian GAAP and IFRS; knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP would be considered a plus

Annual gross base salary offered for this position ranges from EUR 40,000.00 to EUR 45,000.00 (final package will be confirmed individually to the final selected candidate, in line with the profile and the adequation with the position requirements).
