Golden Goose is seeking a Finance professional to oversee LATAM and Canada coordination, month-end close, consolidation, and tax compliance across regional entities. The role interfaces with external bookkeepers, tax advisors, and HQ to ensure accurate reporting.

US subsidiary operations, governance improvements, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement are also part of the remit. Fluent English is mandatory; Italian locale is a plus. Based in Italy with focus on IFRS/group reporting.

Main Responsibilities

LATAM & Canada – Coordination & Statutory Compliance

• Month‑End Close & Consolidation: Lead the monthly and annual closing process for LATAM and Canada entities, ensuring strict alignment with local GAAP and Group accounting standards.
• General Ledger & Balance Sheet: Oversee journal entries, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analyses to maintain financial integrity across all local entities.
• Local Consultant Management: Operational management of external bookkeeping outsourcers and tax advisors, monitoring deadlines, accuracy, and deliverable quality.
• Tax & Statutory Audits: Act as the primary regional point of contact for tax matters (VAT/Sales Tax, Corporate Tax) and manage local and Group annual statutory audits.
• New Country Set-Up & Expansion: Provide administrative and accounting support for extraordinary projects, including onboarding and launching new legal entities or retail stores across LATAM & Canada.

US Subsidiary – Operations & Reconciliations

• Sales & Cash Clearance (US): Perform regular reconciliations between reported store sales (US Retail Stores & E-Commerce) and actual cash/tender clearances.

Process Excellence & Stakeholder Management

• Governance & Process Improvement: Drive continuous process improvement, automation, and system enhancements in close collaboration with HQ and Global Transformation teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for regional finance matters, coordinating local and remote cross‑functional teams.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Accounting & Tax Expertise: In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles, month‑end close procedures, and tax/administrative logic.
• ERP Systems: Hands‑on operational knowledge of SAP.
• Excel: Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data reconciliations).
• Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory for daily communication with international stakeholders.

Nice to Have (Plus)

• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Knowledge of Group reporting, consolidation processes, and IFRS principles.
• Specific experience with LATAM/Americas accounting and tax regulations (e.g., local tax compliance, e‑invoicing requirements).
• Prior experience managing distributed/remote teams or international third‑party outsourcers.
• Previous background in structured multinational environments, preferably within Retail, Fashion, or Consumer Goods.
