A technical services provider in Italy is seeking a Filler/Capper Technician to provide installation and maintenance services for filling and capping machines. Candidates should possess extensive mechanical knowledge and be prepared to travel extensively. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, and strong troubleshooting skills in a similar technical field. This position requires a high level of autonomy and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining high operational reliability.

Competenze

• Minimum 5-10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
• Ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Effective communication skills in English.

Mansioni

• Manage and lead Filler/Capper machine maintenance overhauls.

Job Summary

We are looking for new technicians (independent contractors) to supply our clients with technical services such as the installation and the maintenance of their machines. We seek mobile, experienced, and autonomous people with a strong technical background in the filling/capping bottling industry.

Candidate Requirements

• Must have an expert level understanding on Fillers/Cappers i.e. Sidel, Krones, or KHS
• Experience should include intermediate electrical, intermediate processing, advanced mechanical (pneumatics and hydraulic), and advanced troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to manage and lead Filler/Capper machine maintenance overhauls.
• Must be able to provide a detailed diagnostic analysis of Filling/Capping equipment.
• Able to develop parts list, cost, and timeline to complete repair / overhaul of the detailed diagnostic analysis.
• Provide hands on assistance in the completion of events surrounding the diagnostic analysis.
• Development of preventative and predictive maintenance systems for plant operations.
• Provide directive on preventive / predictive maintenance plan to achieve optimal operational reliability to include scheduling.
• Executes overhauls, rebuilds and major PMs with the assistance of the plant technicians.
• Identification and interaction with vendors specifically to replace or improve the reliability of OEM equipment utilized by the operations and maintenance team.
• Provide on-site, scheduled training on all Filler/Capper related equipment, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
• Development of training materials and work instructions to facilitate consistent application of Best Practices.
• Provide phone support for the plant operations team to assist in troubleshooting / repair of equipment.
• Provide on-site after-hours support for the plant operations team to assist in troubleshooting / repair of equipment.
• Travel to provide project support to various customer plants.
• Travel to provide emergency support when it is requested.
• Work overtime as needed to complete assigned tasks.
• Must have a laptop, and be proficient on/with email, Microsoft products, i.e., word, excel, pdf etc.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Must be willing to travel at least 75%.

The above noted duties are not all inclusive. This is to be used as a guideline for the Filler/Capper Technician in planning their day-to-day activities.

Candidate Education And/or Experience Requirements

• Minimum High School graduate.
• Trade certification in a Mechanical Field preferred.
• Minimum 5-10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

Technical Knowledge Skills

• Supplies own tools sufficient to perform maintenance tasks in the disciplines of the scope needed to perform assigned duties. This includes basic electrical test tools, industrial hand tools, air tools, hand tools, plumbing tools, welding tools, and specialty tools needed for specific job tasks in blow molding, and mold repair / maintenance.
• Ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair low voltage (12 v DC) electrical systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Filler/Capper equipment(i.e.. Sidel, Krones, KHS).
• Extensive knowledge of the basic principles of Filling/Capping theory and operations.
• Experience in leading/completing major overhauls on Fillers/Cappers.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions / judgement calls based on the situation at hand.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate with co-workers and vendors, read work instructions, job procedures and manuals, and document information.
• Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer and related software related to record keeping and machine troubleshooting / maintenance.
