Job summary

Geotab Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technical Specialist to support customers, installers, product teams, and field service initiatives with technical expertise, installation quality, and innovative solutions.

The role involves providing technical support across product design, installations, testing, troubleshooting, audits, and documentation. You will collaborate with Product, R&D, Sales, and Field Services to ensure Geotab solutions are designed, installed, and supported effectively, with

Qualifications

Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience working as an installation field service specialist in Telematics, Automotive industry, or equivalent.
Experience with OBD and CAN communications, SAE vehicle standards, and serial data interfaces.
Experience with both hardware and software integration required.
In-depth knowledge of automotive electronic components.
Experience managing third-party contractor relationships.
Proficiency with automotive/electronics test equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

Provide design support for product development and field testing.
Support customers, installers, and partners with technical guidance and data requirements.
Assist in pilot programs, installation quality, and audits to ensure standards.
Collaborate with Product, R&D, Sales, and Field Services to design, install, and support Geotab solutions.
Travel internationally up to 40% as needed.
Create installation videos and guides with the L&D teams.
Update installation documents and product guides with latest information.
Source and qualify new installation partners and manage relationships.
