TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Italy, covering Central and Southern Italy. Candidates should ideally be based in Campania, Puglia or Molise to ensure efficient customer support.

You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of sensor-based sorters, traveling extensively across Italy with some trips abroad. Training will be provided at our training center in Germany, supported by experienced colleagues in the field.

Competenze

• Completed FP2 or higher with specialization in electrician/electronics, automation, industrial maintenance or related field.
• Willingness to travel 80% or more.
• Experience in an industrial environment with on-site preventive and curative maintenance is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in PC configuration and network structures.
• Excellent communication when dealing with customers.
• Native Italian and proficient in English.
• Full clean driving license.
• Knowledge of metal scrap business and recycling processes is a plus.

Job Description

TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Italy, covering Central and Southern Italy. Candidates should ideally be based in Campania, Puglia or Molise to ensure efficient customer support.

As a key member, you will be responsible for providing support to our customers in Italy and East Europe. This role is ideal for those with an adventurous spirit, as there will be lots of travel, mainly domestic across Italy and occasional trips abroad.

You will receive all the necessary training at our training center in Germany, as well as practical experience in the field with the support of your experienced colleagues.

• Installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization, and repair of sensor-based sorters at TOMRA Recycling installation bases.
• Ensuring maximum performance of TOMRA sorting systems in the field.
• Delivering exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and support.
• Optimizing the sorting systems/process by sampling and testing.
• Identifying opportunities to add value to our customers' businesses through the introduction of complementary TOMRA products, solutions, and services.
• Acting as a link between our customers and Headquarters – collecting and providing feedback from the market so that we can continuously look for new opportunities for our customers.

Qualifications

• Completed secondary technical school (FP2) or higher with a specialization in electrician/electronics, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel 80% or more.
• Work experience in an industrial environment with a focus on on-site preventive and curative maintenance would be a big plus.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in computer programs, PC configuration, network structures.
• A certain talent for communication when dealing with people - in our case, these are customers.
• Native in Italian and proficient in English.
• Full clean driving license required.
• Knowledge of the metal scrap business and recycling processes is a plus.
