Job summary

Plasser Diagnostics is seeking a field service engineer to support customer sites with installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance. You will manage customer relationships, perform diagnostics, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Travel within Europe is required; a driving licence is essential. English proficiency (B1+) is expected to communicate with customers and internal teams. The role offers a dynamic environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: technical diploma in mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics or IT or at least 10 years’ equivalent experience.
• Languages: knowledge of English (level B1 or above).
• Willingness to travel frequently: mainly within Europe (short periods).
• Category B driving licence: essential for travelling to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Customer management and portfolio management: primary contact for technical or service requirements.
• Field service: installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Advanced diagnostics: fault analysis using diagnostic tools and system logs.
• Documentation and quality: drafting service reports and updating knowledge base; spare parts management.
