UniCredit Group is seeking a Payments & Cash Management professional based in Milano to steer and supervise the group's payments and clearing strategy. The role involves defining product strategy, close alignment with Sales, and managing network relationships for FI clients and corporates.

You will lead initiatives across clearing relationships, regulatory projects, and cost analyses to optimize the Group FI portfolio.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in Financial Institutions, Clearing Operations or Network Management.
• Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.

• Work on high priority and strategic payment tasks and projects.
• Support Clearing activities by acting as the point of contact for the network, Operations and Client Banks for all commercial inquiries regarding clearing issues.
• Assist in preparing and executing strategic initiatives, including network rationalization, cost analysis, and efficiency improvements.

Payments & Cash Management steers and supervises at Group level the strategy, the development and the management of Payments and Cash Management products and services for FI clients and corporates.

Main responsibilities are a group wide asset owner role for Cash Management Products and Payments. We are defining and executing the product strategy and product development. We are in close alignment with Sales regarding business requirements, pricing und profitability.

The clearing and network position is managing and optimizing the Group FI portfolio for payments business and clearing relationships in a team of clearing specialists.

What you’ll be doing

• Work on high priority and strategic payment tasks and projects. Projects can be regulatory or functional in nature
• In line with Global FI Sales, support Clearing activities by acting as the point of contact for the network, Operations and Client Banks for all commercial inquiries regarding clearing issues.
• Assist in preparing and executing strategic initiatives, including network rationalization, cost analysis, and efficiency improvements
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and market trends affecting correspondent banking, cross border payments, and clearing frameworks
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new clearing partners and payment routes as needed
• Coordinate the onboarding, maintenance and offboarding of clearing relationships
• Monitor the market for new business opportunities and changes to the business model
• Identify and mitigate operational and settlement risks across the clearing network

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent
• Experience in Financial Institutions, Clearing Operations or Network Management
• Knowledge of international payment systems and financial messaging standards
• High motivation and dedication for working in a Group setup in the business line Group Payments Solution
• Very strong analytical & conceptual skills for complex matters
• Very high communication skills both orally and in writing
• Problem solving mentality
• Ability to work under pressure and extensive commitment
• Autonomous working style within a team
• Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
