Lenskart in Milano is seeking an experienced eyewear designer to craft seasonal and core collections for optical and sunglasses, translating trend insights into sketches, CADs and 3D models.

You will collaborate with product development, sourcing and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and quality, oversee prototyping and sampling, and guide material choices and finishes to align with our brand storytelling.

We commenced our operations in India as an online business in 2010 and opened our first retail store in New Delhi in 2013. Since then, we have scaled through both the online and offline channels and have established a presence through our retail stores, websites, mobile applications, and other channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Design seasonal and core eyewear collections (optical and sunglasses) aligned with brand strategy. Translate trend insights, consumer behavior, and market research into commercially viable designs. Develop sketches, CADs, and 3D models for new concepts.
• Work closely with product development, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and quality standards.
• Oversee prototyping, sampling, and iteration cycles.
• Ensure material selection, color palettes, and finishes are aligned with brand guidelines. Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams for product storytelling and launches.
• Stay updated on global eyewear, fashion, and material innovation trends.
• Manage timelines to ensure on-time delivery of collections.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in eyewear design or accessories design (sunglasses/optical preferred). Strong portfolio demonstrating range across styles, materials, and design concepts.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D/CAD software (Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Understanding of eyewear construction, materials (acetate, metal, TR90), and manufacturing processes. Strong sense of aesthetics, color, and form.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability.
• Experience working with vendors and manufacturers (domestic and international).

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or Product Design.
• Exposure to global markets and trends in eyewear or fashion accessories.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth consumer brands.
